What do Aquatabs eliminate?
Aquatabs have been independently tested, and are shown to effectively lower rates of waterborne illness by eliminating harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, and giardia cysts.
What is the active ingredient in Aquatabs?
Each Aquatab contains sodium dichloroisocyanurate, commonly referred to as NaDCC. Aquatabs dissolve to release a measured dose of hypochlorous acid (free available chlorine) that is universally recognized as a safe and effective water disinfectant.
Do Aquatabs contain Iodine?
Aquatabs contain no iodine which make them safe for sensitive groups such as children, pets, and pregnant women.
Do Aquatabs expire?
Aquatabs are shelf-stable and have a unique expiration date depending on the date of manufacture. We make sure to keep all listings up to date at all times with the current batch’s expiration date.
Can Aquatabs be used on cloudy or turbid water?
The more sediment or organic matter present in water, the more chances that microorganisms can “hide” from the chlorine disinfectant. If you only have access to cloudy water, follow the dosage table and use a smaller volume of water for each tablet.
